The Extent of the Regulations

Examines the issue of the law applicable to agency contracts and whether parties can exclude the application of the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993 (as amended) in the light of two decisions of the European Court of Justice. Emphasizes the need for parties to an agency agreement to be cautious when the agreement provides for a law which is not their own.
